I woke up at 7 (really 8 our time), played games, and then got up for pet stuff and breakfast. After that I started looking on line for the perfect dog park. That took a while, Albuquerque has about a dozen of them.
Once I found one we took Abby to it. It was a little small, but there was a lot of dogs there for her to play with. A couple wanted to chase her all around. Fortunately the park was big enough that she could easily show them who was faster. Eventually she got tired and we left. She didn't seem to have the energy that she usually has. Maybe it's because Albuquerque's altitude is 5,200 feet.
The park was 10 miles from the rv park. We took Abby home and then drove to the Nuclear Museum. It consisted of indoor exhibits describing the development of the atom bomb and it's refinements after WWII. They were all really well done and very informative. There was lots of real hardware from both the WWII development and the post war weapons. There was also a really good exhibit showing how nuclear energy is safe, and the cleanest, energy source. I'm afraid the scared idiots won't be convinced.
The second part of the museum was outside. They had some great stuff - a B52, a complete atomic cannon, anti-aircraft and ballistic missiles from the 50's and 60's. They had newer stuff too such as a F-16 and a MX missile. It was really great.
We spent hours at the museum. The frosting on the cake was that there was a Costco next door. We bought some rolls and some frozen food.
On the way home we stopped at a Denny's. We waited at the desk for someone to seat us. After they did we were completely ignored while we watched a couple that came in at the same time get their order taken. We waited a little longer and then walked out. We ended up eating at a What-a-Burger down the street.
When we got home it was video time. We never got around to dinner, just a couple of snacks.
I did check where the shooting range that I wanted to go to was. It's 60 miles away. I really don't want to take a 120 mile trip tomorrow followed by a travel day the next day. We'll find something else to do.
