Day 3426

We woke up at 7:45, got up, and took the wash to the laundry.  We wanted to do it early because there were a lot of people at the park who seemed to be semi-permanent.  It turned out to be a good decision.  Ellen said that several people showed up just after she got there.

After driving Ellen to the laundry (it was at the other end of the park) I fed the animals and had breakfast.  Then I did some chores.  I cleaned the sink, swept the trailer, and did a couple of other minor things.  Then I surfed.

When the laundry was done we took Abby to the dog park.  It was a great park.  It was large enough for her to have a good run.  The bonus was another dog that wanted to chase her.  I felt sorry for it because it didn't have a chance of catching her.  It kept trying though.  In addition to the dog the place was some sort of bird habitat.  There were several types of tweety birds, robins, and even a couple of doves and pigeons.  Abby would chase the ones that flew and point the ones that didn't.  When she pointed I would go over and flush the bird.

We spent about an hour there.  Abby wasn't tired, but we were bored.  When we left we started doing errands.  The first was the bank to got $20 in quarters.  Then it was Smith's so Ellen could get more laundry detergent.  While she was in the store I stopped at the gas pumps and filled up the truck.  By then it was lunch, so we had hamburgers at Culver's.  The last errand was a dog place where Abby got a nail trim and a bath.

It wasn't even 2 by the time all of that was done.  We drove to a park at the edge of the old downtown where they had a 4-8-4 steam locomotive.  I spent some time giving it a thorough inspection.  They were amazing machines.  After that it was back to the trailer.

I went back to surfing.  That turned into watching videos.  That turned into a nap.  When that was over it was back to videos.

Dinner was Ramen.  After dinner it was more videos.  A large rainstorm passed over us.  It dropped a significant amount of rain.

We only have 100 miles to go tomorrow to Boulder.  I hope it isn't raining in the morning because I'm going to have to dump the tanks.
