Day 3436

I woke up at 7:30.  It was cold and there was no point in getting up so I played games for quite a while.  Eventually I got up for pet stuff and breakfast.  Then I got out the shooting stuff.  It was still cold, but we decided to to load up and got to the range anyway.

It was only 30 miles to the range, half of it freeway.  It took a long time to get there.  The freeway part was fine, but the 12+ miles after the freeway were crowded and had many lights.  When we got close we discovered that the truck really didn't know how to traverse the last few miles.  Neither did Google.  We had to backtrack several miles and then turn on an unmarked road.  Eventually we got there.

We checked in and drove to the course.  It's about a mile away on a dirt road.  Abby was going crazy.  We were driving thorough the hunt club land and she could smell game birds all over.  There was only one shooter there when we started out.

The course was a nice one.  It was a little easy, but entertaining.  There was a rabbit target that I had a lot of trouble with.  There was also a frog target that I couldn't hit to save my life.  We had two stations left when a cast of thousands showed up.  They flooded the whole place.  We went back to the two problematic stations and shot.  After that the last two stations were clear and we shot those.  We shot 253 shells.

The drive back wasn't as bad as driving in.  We stopped at Smith's for water and something to drink.  Traffic on I15 was much heavier because it was after 1 on a Friday.

When we got home it was lunch (left over pizza) time, followed by videos and a nap.

Dinner was left over Pad Thai.  After that was videos and some surfing.
