I woke up at 7:30 and played games until I got bored. Then it was up for pet stuff and breakfast. I couldn't work on the Starlink cable replacement until the new cable arrived, so I surfed instead. After a while we left on the last few errands before going to Richland.
We went back towards Costco to stop at Petco. Unfortunately they were out of the frisbees. Then we went to the dog park. The GSP we saw yesterday was there again and they played for a while. She was more interested in birds and frisbee though. I let her run in the big park also. It's great to have her running hundreds of yards away, whistle, and she immediately returns.
We drove to an Albertson's to get bananas. Then we had lunch at a burger joint across the street. I like independent places. The last stop was for fuel.
The cable had been delivered when we got back. I immediately started on the replacement. I detached the box and filled it with water. That revealed that the lid seal leaked as well as some of the screw holes. I went over to the store across the street and bought sealant, seals, rubber washers, and a larger plug. The washers were a dollar or more a piece. The whole bill was $31.
When I got back I used sealant to seal all of the screw holes. It takes 2 hours for the sealant to dry, so I left the box in the sun and tackled stringing the cable. While I was at the store Ellen had removed the old cable and strung the new one through the cabinet. That was a great time saver. Unfortunately we had some trouble getting the cable through the hole in the bottom of the trailer until I remembered using the scrap tube that I'd used last time.
After that I took a half hour break. I was really tired. Then I went back outside and spent an hour reattaching the box and sealing the cable protector. It occurred to me that the water was probably getting into the slot in the cable protector and dripping into the box. I sealed the whole thing with electrical tape.
It was six when I was finished cleaning up and putting everything away. Ellen fixed pork chops for dinner. It was nice to have something that wasn't frozen.
After dinner it was videos. I couldn't stay awake and fell asleep. When I woke up I decided it was time for bed.
Tomorrow is only 142 miles, so it should be an easy day. I hope I don't jinx us by saying that.
