We got up at 7:30, hooked up, and were on the road by 8.
Generally, today sucked:
1. It rained hard from the time we left until we were near Ogden. The visibility was very poor. At least there wasn't much traffic.
2. The trucks on I80 were a pain as usual. I think I passed one truck 4 or 5 times.
3. Just past Tremonton we had a 25 mph headwind all the way to Declo. We managed 8.9 mpg today.
4. The wind was blowing at 25 mph when we got to Declo. The temperature was 53, so it made for a cold unpleasant set up.
5. The site was treed, so we had to put the Starlink on the pole.
6. Fuel here is $3.39.
7. The box with the Starlink cable was full of water when I opened it. The connector didn't seem too wet and I cleaned it carefully.
We went inside and had lunch. Then we sat down to watch videos. We did that for an hour and then the Starlink crapped out. It said the antenna was rebooting. No matter what we tried nothing fixed it. Oh, and we can't buy a replacement. We may have to buy a whole new system.
Without Starlink there's no watching videos. The WiFi sucks, so we hooked up the phones for very limited access. I ended up starting to put the T-rex together that I bought weeks ago. I only did part of it. Then I spent the rest of the evening playing games on the iPad.
We ordered dinner from the restaurant at the park. We also ordered a new cable for the Starlink. It's probably grasping at straws.
To top it all off there's supposed to be a headwind all the way to Caldwell tomorrow.
