Day 213

Ellen got out of the hospital today.

She called me in the morning to say that the surgeon was supposed to be there at noon.  So I did some surfing and clean up in the morning.  I put the dog in the crate about 10:30 and left.  She was not happy about the crate.  I stopped and got a haircut before going north.  For once it doesn't look like I just got out of boot camp.

I was amazed.  I drove up to the hospital with absolutely no traffic problems.  There was a slight slow down at the jog downtown, but that was it.  No one was going 55.

I stopped at a gun store around the corner from the hospital.  It didn't have any tat interested me, but it had an amazing amount of AR stuff.

I got to the hospital a little before noon.  Of course the surgeon didn't show up.  I played Minions, helped Ellen get in and out of bed, and surfed.  The surgeon finally showed up about 5.  He decided to let her go home.  It took more than an hour for them to get everything together for us to leave.  Ellen finally had to call them and say we want to go.

We left about 6:30.  The GPS said that there were two long delays.  We didn't see any the whole trip.  We stopped at the drug store on the way home to get Ellen some pain killers.  It only took 15 minutes.  Wow.

When we got hoe the dog had managed to scoot the cage about 2 feet from the wall.  I can't imagine how.  She also managed to pull her blanket off the subwoofer next to the cage and into the cage.  I would have said that was impossible.  She's really subdued right now.  The last few days haven't been fun for her.

We spent the evening watching TV.  Ellen is actually doing fairly well.
