I didn't get much sleep last night due to getting home at 4 and the huge thunderstorm and heavy rain. I finally got out of bed about 9. The dog didn't really want to go out. It was still raining hard with thunder and lightning. She hadn't gone out last night, so she went anyway.
I ate breakfast and did the rest of the morning stuff. Then I packed up some stuff for the hospital and Lucy and I left. It was raining really hard. Hard enough that I had to slow down. Texas doesn't make rain safe roads. You'll be driving along fine and suddenly your in a 100 foot long, 3 inch deep, puddle.
When I got to the hospital Ellen was still in Emergency. Apparently the hospital is completely full. It was a couple of hours before they took her to a room. We sat around there until about 2:45. Then they took her in and removed 60 ml of pus from an abscess near one of the incision points. It took them an hour and a half.
I sat around with Ellen for another hour while she regained coherency. I was talking and texting with Hooch. He's trying to get Intel to buy him a shotgun instead of a retirement party.
The traffic wasn't bad getting home even though I left the hospital at 5. I spent the evening watching TV.
