Day 220

I slept in a little this morning - until 8.  We got up and had breakfast with Melissa.  After a little surfing it was time to call the freight company.  They couldn't give me a time estimate, but they promised that the driver would call an hour before delivery.

That began the weight.  I surfed most of the day.  Ellen sewed and watched TV.  Melissa surfed, worked, and read.  At one point she got so bored that she was dusting and vacuuming the house.

About 3 the phone finally rang.  The call dropped, so I called back after a couple of minutes.  It was the driver, but the connection was so bad that I could hardly understand him.  I told him I'd leave immediately and did.

I made good time getting to the shop.  It was good that I did, because the truck was just pulling up as I got there.  I had the ammo and was driving away in a few minutes.

When I got home I asked Melissa if she still wanted to go shooting.  She said she did.  So I spent a few minutes showing her the guns and how to hold them.  It was easier to do that at home than at the range.

The trip to the range was pretty easy even though it was a little after 4.  When we got there there was only one other person shooting.

Melissa did well.  She liked the Buckmark more than the 22/45, but it was a little heavy for her.  I only shot a little bit.  Both guns will need there sights adjusted for me.  We shot about 75 rounds and then she was tired.  I expected that.

When we got home it was dinner time.  Melissa ate a sandwich left over from one of our lunch forages and I had a TV dinner.  After dinner she and Ellen watched dancing with the stars and I surfed and read.
