Day 1452

We got up at 8 (6 our time), did the pet stuff, had breakfast, and packed up the trailer.  After a little delay using a credit card to scrape the ice off the windshield we were on the road a little before 9.  The first 3 hours were fine.  We averaged 63 mph and 9.5 mpg.  It helped that we picked up a 20 mph tailwind which followed us for the rest of the day.

We had a good gas stop except for the outrageous price of the fuel.  It was 25 cents higher than the Lowe's across the freeway and biodiesel besides.  The remaining 3 hours were going well also except for some dueling with trucks on the hill.  Things began going south at junction.  Ellen's asshole started giving her trouble.  We had to stop for quite awhile while she sat in the can.

Things went further south when we got to the park.  It was low 50's with a 20 mph wind - cold.  Our space required three blocks on the downward side.  I had to go around two times to get it positioned.  Then I had to pound the trailer latch loose and the trailer shifted when I unhooked.  I had to reconnect.  It took quite awhile to get set up.

When I went inside I discovered that the black tank and sink tanks were both full.  I'd forgotten that I planned to dump them in Tucson.  That meant I hauled 500 to 1,000 lbs of excess week 900 miles.  No wonder the mileage sucked.  So I had to go out, hook up the sewer, and dump the tanks.

When I finally got done we went into town so I could get a drink.  We ended up at the brewery.  The IPA and meatloaf were great.

The icing on the crap cake was that Cooper hasn't eaten in 48 hours.  He won't even eat the Kitty crack that he loves so much.  Tomorrow will be a trip to the vet.

After that we went home.  The rest of the evening was TV, I didn't bother with the WiFi.
