Day 1453

We got up about 7:30, but surfed in bed for awhile.  We did the pet stuff (Cooper didn't eat), had breakfast, and called the vet.  We got lucky.  The vet is just down the street and could see us in half an hour.

We took Cooper to the vet.  She examined him and xrayed him.  He doesn't have a blockage.  She gave him some medicine and sent us home with some special food.  We drove to the other end of town and got a donut at the donut shop.  I've always wanted to stop there, and it was good.  Then we took Cooper back to the trailer.

When we got back I got out the jewels.  We selected some to go with the tanzanite and worked out a preliminary design for the pendant.  Then we left for Fredericksburg again.  The wine and cheese festival is going on.  When we went through town at 10 there were a few parking places on main.  20 minutes later when we were back we had to park on a side street by the museum.

We walked back to the jewelry store.  The proprietor wasn't going to be there until the afternoon, so we walked up and down the street shopping.  We had lunch at our usual outdoor restaurant.  They had amazing mojitos.  I had two.  The brisket sandwich was great, too.  Our only purchases were a couple of presents and another cool yard flamingo.

When we got back to the jewelry store the proprietor was there.  We showed him our drawing and stones.  He made some really good suggestions about the design.  After we got that settled we spent an hour or more looking at his stuff and talking stones.  He showed us some cool stuff, but we didn't buy anything more.

After that we walked back to the restaurant (it was on the way to the car) for another mojito and some coconut shrimp.  Then it was home.

When we got home we took Lucy to the dog park so she could walk around some.  She did her business and then wanted to go back for dinner.  So there wasn't much walking.

Cooper wouldn't eat the new food, and fought us over the medicine.  I think we got half a dose into him.

The evening was TV and surfing.
