Day 1458

We woke up at 7:30 and surfed in bed until after 8.  Then it was per stuff and breakfast.  After breakfast it was some surfing.  It was in the 30's and too cold to go out.  It was actually down to freezing last night.  I hope the trailer survived.

About 10 we left to vote.  We went to a new place behind Trudy's.  It was a retirement place like Mom is in.

When we were finished I went looking for a metal shelter place I'd seen when we drove from Fredericksburg.  Unfortunately I couldn't find it.  So we drove back to the post office.  After that I wanted to stop at the Cajun place for lunch.  Unfortunately there was a line.  So we stipped at Costco for water and went home.

This was my first chance to see Mopac.  I thought it would be improved, at least by Slaughter.  Not only is that as bad as when we left, but La Crosse is much worse.  It's down to 1 lane for over a mile in both directions.

We ate lunch when we got home.  Then I went out to fix the antenna.  My first attempt was to modify the mounting arms.  That didn't work at all.  So I built a couple of adjustable braces form 2x4 and turnbuckles.  They allows me to adjust the lean of the antenna by turning the turnbuckles.  That worked really well.  We'll see how it holds up.

After that I cut back the Wisteria.  It was taking over the deck.  Then I cleaned up all of the dead leaves on the deck and in the front entry.  That was it for work today.

It was almost dinner time when I finished.  Dinner was steak and hash browns.  After dinner was watching DirecTV.  The new antenna positioning is working well.
