We got up at 7:30, did the pet stuff and had breakfast. I drained the tanks while Ellen got the inside of the trailer ready. It took awhile for the tanks. For some reason it the stuff in the black tank didn't all come out at once. Did I mention that it was 48 degrees and raining lightly while I was doing this?
We finally hit the road at 9:10. The drive in was uneventful. I can't prove it, but I think the trailer pulled a little better without 500+ lbs of water in the tanks. The biggest problem from my point of view was worrying about getting in the gate.
Getting into the gate turned out not to be much of a problem. There was plenty of room on the other side of the street to make a wide turn in. I did have to spend a fair amount of time trimming trees before I could drive the trailer in.
Parking the trailer took a fair amount of time, but it wasn't hard. The worst part was moving a whole lot of the boundary rocks to make room to maneuver the truck.
The place is in pretty good shape. The pump worked fine, as did the refrigerator and water heater. The well house door was jammed, but a hammer fixed that. I did have some trouble finding the key for the lock on the garage door. The car started fine.
We were parked about noon. Then the unloading began. I unloaded the truck, the basement, the bedroom, the bathroom, the kitchen table, and part of the pantry. I would bring things from the trailer and leave them on the porch table. Ellen would take them inside. That way we stayed out of each other's way. There was a lot of stuff. That trailer was really loaded. We still have a lot left in there.
I called a halt at 2:30. We left and filled up the car with gas. Then we stopped at CVS so I could get some prescriptions filled. The next stop was for the mail - there was a lot of it. Then it was HEB for water and something to eat for tonight (we didn't have lunch). The final stop was Tomlinson's so Lucy could get a treat.
I was really tired when we got home about 4:45. I hooked up the DirecTV box, but the antenna is out of alignment. That's something for tomorrow. Fortunately the internet works. We went through all of the mail and ate dinner (spaghetti). After that it was reading and surfing. I am pooped and a little sore.
