Day 138

We buried Dad today. Actually, we went to the cemetery where the coffin was suspended over the grave.

A deacon from the church performed a short service and there was a military honor guard. Both ceremonies were very nice and somehow comforting. The weather was fitting, too. Cold and raining lightly.

Susan and Teddy were there, along with Cathy's son Bob. Hugh and Anita were also there. They didn't make the funeral due to some miscommunication about the time of the funeral.

In the morning Hooch and Mom went to the courthouse and then to US Bank. They managed to work out everything with the bank. That means most of the financial arrangements have been completed.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing and watching the kids cut up. I'm packed up and ready to leave tomorrow. Boy am I ready.
