Day 151

No rum today.

We slept in late again. When we finally got started Ellen began painting the cat room. I continued to unpack the kitchen stuff. We both made good progress. Ellen almost got the whole cut in painting done. The room isn't very big, but it has two doors, a window, and a stand for the water heater. It also has the washer/dryer connections. That's a lot of stuff to cut in.

I finished unpacking the kitchen stuff. The kitchen cabinets are just stupid. They have fixed shelves set at relatively low levels so high things don't fit in them. They also have a bar down the middle of each cabinet that makes it impossible to put in a standard plate without tilting it sideways. After that I started in on the master bedroom. I got the bed frame put together and the box springs unpacked and placed on it. I also unpacked the stereo system and got it partially hooked up.

The roofing guy was back today with an estimate. It seems reasonable to me. There are other guys coming tomorrow and Friday. We'll see how they compare.

In the evening we drove 50 miles to New Braunfels to have dinner with 30 people from the RV park. It was a fun time talking with people our age with our interests. They all wanted to know about the house. I'm going to miss them. It may be a transitory community, but it's a fun one.

Tomorrow is Ellen's last day. I'd like to get the TV dish set up, an ad for the pool in Craig's list, and the cat room painting done. We'll see.
