Day 139

Today was a travel day. Up at 4:15 to go to the airport. The flight to Denver was fine. The middle seat was empty. The layover at Denver was short. I was on the plane to San Antonio 15 minutes after I landed. That flight was pretty full. I was disappointed when the last person to board the plane took the middle seat beside me.

We stopped by the mortgage broker on the way home. He still hadn't gotten the loan approved and we were supposed to close tomorrow after the walkthrough. I told him we'd probably pay cash if he couldn't get the deal done in time for closing.

After we got home Ellen moved enough money around to pay for the house. We just don't know when the bank in San Antonio will release the funds. We should find out tomorrow. We also found out that the sellers have postponed the closing until Tuesday. That makes the money thing easier, but it meant that we had to delay the delivery of our furniture.

The dog had a good day. After riding to the airport she got to go to the park. She did a reasonable number of retrieves, and then we walked her around the park. She's a tired doggy tonight.

Ellen made her reservations to go back to Oregon to get a driver's license and deal with the taxes. At least the tickets weren't hideously expensive. It will be the first flight out of Austin rather than San Antonio.
