The roofers decided it was too wet from yesterday to do the roof. So they'll do it tomorrow.
Ellen had a good day. She got the first coat of paint on the whole master bedroom. That was in spite of having to help me with the speaker wiring (more on that later).
I started the day by fixing the one surround sound speaker that hadn't been attached to the wall quite right. Then I decided to finish the wiring. I got lucky, there's a space behind the wall that I needed to mount the connection to. Only that meant that the fish tape that I had bought for the job wouldn't do.
I went out to meet a guy that was selling a toilet tank top. I'd told him the measurements I needed. He didn't have the right size, but for some reason he wanted to show me what he had anyway. Go figure. It wasn't a complete bust because I stopped and got some twine. When I got back, the twine with a bolt on the end made fishing the speaker wire easy. Then I soldered up the connectios and attached the plate to the wall.
From there things went down hill. I unpacked the stereo and started to put it in the cabinet. The amp wouldn't fit. I had to reposition all of the shelves (they are screwed down). Then I had to cut out portions of the back of the cabinet so that I could fit in the amp. It took most of the rest of the afternoon, partially because the drill ran out of charge.
I replaced the kitchen light, but I couldn't test it. Somehow the $33 dollars of light bulbs that we bought for it last night didn't make it home. We went back to Home Depot, told them the story, and they refunded the money. Amazing.
It was another long night. Stop work at 7:00 PM. Go to Home Depot, Lowes, and HEB. Get home at 9:00 and eat dinner.
Tomorrow we get up early to meet the roofers. Ellen will paint. I need to prune all of the trees at the entrance so that we don't damage the trailer again.
