We were off fairly early to the house to paint. When we got there we had some bad news. As Ellen's sister had advised, we have to paint the walls twice to get full coverage. Now it's really good that we started yesterday.
I took off twice today to get things I saw on Craig's list. The first was a "princess lamp" by Disney. It has four rotating princess figures. It also plays music and the princesses "talk" if you press a button on the base. The niece is going to love it.
Later on I went out to pick up the bed frame that we purchased about a month ago. It's a little rattier than I remember it. I should have offered less than they were asking for it. Also they didn't have the bed slats.
In spite of having to paint the first room over again, we made good progress. The first room is done, and the living room and entry have their first coats. We should be able to finish those two rooms and give the kitchen it's first coat tomorrow.
I think we'll run out of time before we get the trim done. Oh well. We'll have to figure out a way to timeshare painting with unpacking.
The poor dog spent another whole day tied to the back porch looking in at us working. I think she's developing a complex. At least she's on a longer lead than she was yesterday.
