We didn't work very hard today. Instead we went shopping.
In the morning I called a couple of people with ads on Craig's list. One was for a blu-ray player and the other was for a kitchen table and four chairs. We ended up buying both things. I'm thinking of hooking up the player, but I'll have to unpack the TV to do it. The kitchen set was a little beat up, but it fits perfectly in the apartment's kitchen.
I really need to get a file cabinet, dresser, and roll top desk. There just haven't been any good leads on Craig's list for these things lately.
Ellen did finish painting the cat room. It looks great. I finished unpacking the master bedroom. I got ambitious and cleaned all of the furniture with Murphy's oil soap. The headboard really needed it. I also finished hooking up the bedroom stereo so that we have something better than a boombox to listen to. I even got the grandfather clock unpacked and set up.
Another guy came by to do an estimate on the roof. He said he'd email it to me today, but it hasn't shown up.
