Day 298

We hung around in bed this morning.  I surfed and did a little Minions.  I guess I am addicted.

When I got up it was pet stuff, start wash, and breakfast.  Then more surfing.  Before I knew it it was 10:30.  Northern Tool had a sale on a sprayer on wheel that I wanted.  I'm sick of using the other one in the pull behind cart with no place to put the battery.  So we drove up there.  Traffic wasn't as bad as I expected, but we did have a slowdown as we went past downtown and up past the university.

I only spent a little time in Northern Tool because Ellen was outside with the dog.  It's a lot different than Harbor Freight.  More heavey duty stuff that's a little more high end and a little more expensive.

It was about 12 when I got done, so we drove over to the Opal Devine's by Fry's.  It was nice sitting out on the shaded deck in the breeze.  Lucy got a slider and dessert.  We got lunch specials.  As we were sitting there a really long string of police cars went by.  It was the funeral for a policeman that was killed last week.  When we left the police were blocking traffic even though the procession had passed.  Fortunately they were blocking lanes going the other way.  It still fucked up traffic on the freeway for about a mile as people tried to get on just so they could get off at the next exit.  After it cleared, everyone was going 65-70.  Screw the 55 construction speed.

Ellen's bag started leaking as we were going home.  We stopped at the post office and picked up her chain at the jewelry store.  When we got home she took a shower while I started putting the sprayer together.  About halfway through she came and got me and we changed the bag.  Then I went out and finished the job.  I was lucky and had a plastic tray that I could use as a battery holder.

It was over 100 in the garage.  It was so hot that I couldn't listen to the radio because the receiver went into thermal shutdown.  I was soaked with sweat, so I decided to move another half load of gravel.  That covered all the bare spots that I can see in the driveway.

The evening was watching TV - remodeling shows and Deadliest Catch.
