We got up on time today. I did the pet stuff and had breakfast. I also did a very little bit of Minions.
Then it was off to Round Rock. It's along way - about 40 miles. We got to about a block from the gun show and the stupid GPS sent us a mile down the wrong road. We shut the damn thing off and drove back on our own. The venue has a really large parking lot. It was completely full. So were the sides of the access roads. People were parking in the lots of the businesses across the street. We parked 3 blocks away on a side street.
The show was great. Lots of vendors and almost no beanie babies, knives, or stun guns. Some vendors had pretty good prices, while others were a little high. The ammo vendors were dreaming. Someone hasn't told them that the panic is over.
I had a good time. Ellen seemed interested about some things also. She did really good, walking there and back as well as staying with me for most of the aisles.
I didn't buy anything except a t-shirt. I wanted to buy a "Hillary for prison" t-shirt, but Ellen wouldn't let me.
Traffic on the way up hadn't been too bad except a stretch from 290 to where the traffic slowed, but rarely stopped. Not so much on the way back. The traffic jam started as soon as we got to the freeway. We drove for a couple of miles on the frontage road, but traffic was bad on it also. So we turned west. That's when Ellen's inability to read a map came to the fore. She couldn't figure out how to get us to loop 1, and the car GPS was useless. We ended up on 45, so we'll have to pay a toll. I got off as soon as I could and ended up on Parmer.
We got on loop 1 at Parmer and made a couple of miles before a stop and go traffic jam. Same asshole had piled it up in the left lane. It took over half an hour to get through. Luckily after that everyone was going 65-70 in the 55. That continued until we got about 2 miles from downtown. Then it was 15 miles an hour for a mile or so. After that it was up to speed again.
We stopped at the post office on the way home.
Lucy got a rice bone, even though she needs to lose weight.
The evening was some Minions, reading, and TV.
