We got up at 6:15 to take the cats to the vet. Fletcher had a whole lot dental work to be done, and they needed to get a urine sample from Taiko. Traffic on Slaughter was heavy, but we made OK time.
We were done with the vet by 7:30, so we went to MickeyD's for breakfast. It hasn't changed. Then we took the dog to Circle C to run. It was early in the morning, cloudy and cool (if you can call low 80's cool). She had a great time and ran 15 or so really long retrieves. Then we went home.
I was planning on doing some digging, but it started raining just as we got to the development. It lasted awhile, the rain gauge says we got a tenth of an inch. So I read online magazines instead. A little after noon I got a call that my pistol was in. Only the phone didn't ring and there was no voicemail indication. So I didn't see the voicemail until we were leaving to pick up the cats about 2:30. I said screw it, we're going to be late.
We stopped at the post office and Red's. Then we took 290 to Manchaca and then down to Slaughter. It wasn't a good choice. Half of Manchaca is narrow slow road. The other half is OK. Next time it's 1st or loop 1.
When we got to the vet's we noticed that there was a dog grooming place in the net building. So we took Lucy in for a dogicure. They didn't trim them really short, but she's a lot better. It only cost $5.
The cats cost over $1,100. We're a little worried about Fletcher. He's been losing a lot of weight. Hopefully now that his teeth are fixed he'll start eating again.
We didn't get home until after 4. I did a little Minions and surfing and then took the dog for the mail.
The evening was reading and a movie about the war in Afghanistan. It was rated 4.5 stars and deserved it. It really showed how fucked up things are over there. There's no point in us fighting there.
