There wasn't any need to get up early this morning, so we didn't. We stayed in bed and surfed (I played Minions). We got up aboiut 9:30, did pet stuff, had breakfast, and started the wash.
As soon as I was finished with breakfast I went to work installing the rods in the safe. I had to go out to the garage and cut a piece of 1/4 inch plywood to fit. Then I had to staple the velcro to it. Of course it was between 95 and 100 in the garage. Then I took the plywood back inside and screwed it onto the bottom of the safe shelf.
The result worked great. I moved several guns into the new safe and it really made room in the other safe. The last step will be mounting a light in the safe. It's really dark inside, even in the daytime.
That was the extent of my work for the day. About 3 we went over to the post office. Lucy was REALLY bored and happy to go. We also returned an item I got at Lowe's that didn't work out. Lucy got a lot of petting and attention. We also stopped at Tomlinson's for cat food. Of course Lucy got some treats. All in all I think Lucy was happy.
It was 104 when we got back. So we hid out in the house. I did walk out to the mail with the dog. It was HOT.
The evening was watching TV. I also called Mom. I was apalled to learn that I hadn't called her in three weeks.
