It rained hard last night. Over 3.5" fell between midnight and 9 when we got up. We just sat around and surfed. There wasn't anything else to do except the laundry. Of course the sewer alarm went off. I hope it doesn't overflow completely. This is the most rain we've ever seen here.
The night's rain had dug several major ditches in the driveway. I went out and filled them all in. It took 4 carts of gravel. That was the easy part. The hard part was digging out the ditch by the driveway so it wouldn't happen again. When I was done I was soaked in sweat, so I took a shower.
After lunch we went to the post office. It was raining cats and dogs when we left. It wasn't raining at the post office, so I thought the dog might get a chance to run. No way. By the time I got the package that was there it had started to rain. By the time we got out of the parking lot it was raining hard.
We went over to Petsmart to get some prescription food for the cats. That was the only fun Lucy had. Then it was driving home in the rain.
The evening was shopping on Amazon. Ellen wanted to order some stuff and so did I. We spent the $200 in gift cards that the credit card company sent us for rebates.
It's 11:00 and raining heavily. There's also a lot of really loud thunder. The rain gauge says that we've had 5.91 inches of rain today. I might end up filling up more ditches tomorrow.
