Day 303

This was a typical Sunday morning.  We woke up with the alarm and stayed in bed surfing and playing games for hours.

When we did get up it was pet stuff and breakfast.

As I was brushing my teeth this morning I had an idea for an improved version of what I was planning to do in the guest room closet.  So after breakfast I really wanted to get started on it.  The work went well, I'd bought everything I needed yesterday, but it took hours.  That was mainly because I over engineered everything.  Also, I decided to put a shelf on top of the rack and add another hook to the wall.

The end result is really successful.  The rack holds all of the gun cases with no problem, and there's even a little room left over between it and the wall for some miscellaneous stuff.  The two suitcases fit perfectly on top of the shelf, and the hook takes care of another two soft cases.  The end result of all the effort over the last weeks is a closet that has everything neatly stored and about 1/3 of it's space open.

After that I was hot, sweaty, and tired.  Also hungry since it was about 1:30.  I ate lunch, read the paper, and watched the Olympics for the rest of the afternoon.

I started to watch a movie in the evening, but Vandy called.  Ellen put her on speaker and we had a nice long talk.  When it was finished I'd lost interest in the movie.  So I read the paper and played a little Minions.

All in all it was a pretty successful Sunday.
