We got up fairly late again today - blame surfing and Minions. When I did get up I did the pet stuff and had breakfast. Then I replaced the SWM in the attic in the hopes that the new one wouldn't be temperature sensitive. Then I killed time surfing because I thought we had to take the pets in at 11.
When Ellen finally got up she informed me that she had told me the wrong time. The pets go in at 4. Crap. It was too late in the morning, and too hot, to go work on the well head foundation. So I ended up killing time until after lunch. Then we went over to the post office. After that we stopped at the school to run the dog. She did 13 retrieves, which was really good considering the heat. On the way home we stopped at the Circle C ice cream place to buy her some ice cream treats (that was all we got).
After that we went home and killed time until it was time to go to the vet. It was 104 when we left the house for the vet. We packed up the kitties in the cat carrier that's been in the truck since it was new. It's the first time the carrier has been used.
The vet examined all three animals. She said Lucy was fat - 61.8 pounds. I agree. She said all three need their teeth cleaned, and that Fletcher has been losing his. So we gave them a little less than $700 and made an appointment for Fletcher. She also said that Taiko had a heart murmur. Apparently his blood test will say more.
When we got home it was more surfing for Ellen, and surfing and Minions for me.
BTW, the new SWM craps out in the heat just like the old one.
