Day 300

This is somewhat of a milestone.  We've now been away from Oregon for 10 months.  The first year anniversary of our departure is fast approaching.

I went to bed late last night, so when the alarm went off I ignored it and went back to sleep.  I slept until a little past 8.  Then it was some surfing and Minions.  I didn't stay in bed all that long though.

I got up, did pet stuff, and had breakfast.  Then I surfed until it was time to go to the estate sale I wanted to go to.  The place wasn't very crowded, and had a lot of really nice stuff.  We got a bunny for Pat and a collector plate for Melissa.  I got some hose washers that I've been meaning to get for quite awhile.  There was a park directly across the street from the sale.  Lucy did 11 retrieves, which ws good for the hot day.

After that it was off to Lowe's to get the hitch in that I forgot to get yesterday.  It was past lunch time, so we stopped at Schlotsky's.  Lucy got treats while we ate.  We stopped at the pet store afterwards to look for a dog bed.  They had a nice one, but it was $99.  Lucy got some more treats.  The last stop was supposed to be the post office, but afterwards Ellen wanted to go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to look at their dog beds.  So we back tracked.  She ended up getting one that was on sale at half price plus a 20% discount.

When we got home it was 101 degrees.  We hid out from the heat surfing.  At one point Ellen noticed that there was a road runner in the back yard.  It's the first one that we've seen on the property in years.

The evening was reading and TV.
