We both stayed in bed for awhile after the alarm went off. I did some surfing and Minions. Ellen played games on her phone. When we did get up it was the standard pet stuff and breakfast.
After breakfast I decided that it was way past time to finish fixing the damage the dog did to the bedroom door. After all it's been 3 months. I used the Dremel to smooth out the putty. Then I had Ellen paint the trim. She wasn't happy. All she wants to do is sit, play games, and sew. After the trim I went to get the wall paint. It had solidified in the can. So we went off to Home Depot to get more.
For some reason today was "buy paint" day at Home Depot. While we waited I got bolts to fix the sprayer battery box. We also got stuff to make a gun case rack in the guest closet. After Home Depot we went to the restaurant across from Harbor Freight. They had a weekend breakfast menu that had really good stuff on it. I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich that was way too big to eat. Lucy got a significant portion of it.
We stopped at the post office on the way home. We got home about 3:30. Ellen finished the painting while I planned the closet. I wasn't going to get the mail because it was too hot. However, when I walked out to put the paint away I figured I could get sweating doing a couple of things in the garage, walk the dog, and then take a shower. In the garage I shortened the shelves I bought for the gun case rack. I also added a wooden base to the sprayer battery box.
When I was finished I took the dog to the mailbox and then took a shower. It felt good. So did getting the door and sprayer fixed. I'll probably work on the closet tomorrow.
The evening was spent watching the Olympics and surfing. The Americans won everything (basketball, volleyball, and boxing) that we watched.
